Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, ‘Campaign against corruption and drug addiction’.
Reiterating the ongoing campaign against corruption, she said, ‘We have already announced zero tolerance policy against drugs, terrorism, terrorism and corruption. So the campaign against terrorism, corruption, drugs will go on’.
She said this at the closing ceremony of the Commandant, Military Command and Staff College course and distribution of graduation certificate at Mirpur Cantonment in Dhaka on Sunday,january 09. On the occasion, the Prime Minister asked the armed forces to pay special attention to social disorders like corruption and drugs.
The Prime Minister. Sheikh Hasina said her government wants to exploit the talents, knowledge and energy of the youth for the welfare of the country.
The Prime Minister said, “The military is working to protect the country’s sovereignty resources and security. Bangladesh’s armed forces have been working with the United Nations peacekeeping missions. The world has gained respect and the confidence of the people of the country. Therefore, the government is working to develop the armed forces to keep pace with the world’.
‘Wherever our army is operating, they are gaining a reputation,” he said. The biggest thing about them, not just as a military officer, is that they are putting human hearts in the hearts of the local people. That is why I extend my sincere thanks and congratulations to the Armed Forces’.
Commenting on the need to increase the training of the armed forces to protect the sovereignty of the country efficiently, Sheikh Hasina said, ‘The government is working on keeping in mind the possible risk of terrorism in the coming days’.
The Prime Minister also said that digital methods should be used in training to protect sovereignty of independence.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the certificate to the graduates who completed 235 courses in the program. Military and civilian officers were present on the occasion.
