Additional Director General of the Department of Health Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana gave this information on Wednesday (July 22). The Department of Health regularly conducts online briefings on the coronavirus situation in the country.
Professor Nasima Sultana said 12,050 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. A total of 10 lakh and 66 thousand 609 samples have been tested in 81 labs so far.
She said 1,805 more Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of one lakh 17 thousand and 202 people have recovered.
The first case of coronavirus infection (Covid-19) in the country was identified on March 08. Ten days later, on March 18, the first person died of coronavirus infection.
