Eid-ul-Azha Celebrated In 40 Villages Of Chandpur Today

Eid is being celebrated in 40 villages of Chandpur.Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated in 40 villages of Chandpur on Friday. Hajj in Saudi Arabia is over. Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated there today. In keeping with Saudi Arabia, more than half a million people are celebrating Eid-ul-Azha in Chandpur.

The first congregation of Eid was held at 7:45 am at Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque adjacent to Sadra Durbar Sharif in Hajiganj. Sadra Rahmania Madrasa teacher Maulana Kausar Hamid Neshari led the Eid prayers.

The main congregation was held at Munsirhat in Faridganj at 8:30 am. Maulana Mohammad Abul Khair was the Imam. Hundreds of devotees took part in the Eid Jamaat. Later, Eid congregations were held in different mosques at different times.

In 1929, the late Pir Ishaq Chowdhury of Sadra Durbar Sharif introduced Eid in advance in Bangladesh. Eid has been celebrated in advance in these villages for 93 years in line with Saudi Arabia.

Hajiganj upazila’s Sadra, Sameshpur, Alipur, Belcho, Jankani, Pratappur, Balakhal, Manihar, Gobindpur and Dakshin Balakhal. Faridganj Upazila Laxmipur, Kamta, Senagaon, Basara Uvarampur, Uttali, Munsirhat, Mulpara, Gallak, Aitpara, Badarpur, Bhulachon, Sonachon, Paikpara, Surangchail, Balithuba, Kaitara, Nurpur, Shachanmegh.

Ujani village of Panchani Kachua upazila and Matlab South and Mohanpur villages of South upazila. At the same time, Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated in several villages of Shahrashti upazila today.

Maulana Abu Zaher Arif Chowdhury, the current incumbent Pirzada of Sadra Durbar Sharif, said that the time difference between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia is only two hours. There can be no gap of one or two days in Bangladesh for observing Ramadan and Eid for two hours interval. So it is better to celebrate Eid together.
