The government has announced the names of 24 eminent citizens for awarding Ekushey Padak-2021, in an effort to recognize their contributions to the respective fields.
This information was given in the press release of the Ministry of Culture on Thursday.
This year Mostafa M.A. Matin (posthumous) and Mirza Tofazzal Hossain Mukul (posthumous) gets the Ekushey Padak in the field of the language movement, Jinat Barkatullah in art dance, Nazrul Islam Babu (posthumous), Iqbal Ahmed, Mahmudur Rahman Benu, and Khaled Mahmud Khan (posthumous) in music, Afzal Hossain, Frredomfighter Alhaj principal Matiur Rahman, Syed Moazzem Ali (posthumous), QABM Rahman and Amjad Ali Khandaker in Acting, MA Malek in Journalism, Md. Anwar Hossain in Science and Technology, Professor Gautam Buddha Das in Education, SM Abraham Lincoln and Sangharaj Gyanshree Mahather in social service, Poet Kamal Chowdhury and Jharna Das in language and literature and Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar Mandal, Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, Sahanaj Sultana, and Dr. Jannatul Ferdous in the field of Research.
