Holidays of educational institutions till May 30. The government has announced a general holiday till May 16 to prevent novel coronavirus in Chandpur. It has been mentioned in the circular of the Ministry of Public Administration that the educational institution cannot be opened within this period. However, as the Ramadan and Eid holidays have already started, the Ministry of Education has said that there will be holidays in the educational institutions till May 30.
On Tuesday, May 05, Mohammad Mahbub Hossain, secretary of the secondary and higher education department of the education ministry, said, “The government has declared a general holiday till May 16. According to the syllabus, it has been decided to close the educational institution till May 30 as the Ramadan and Eid holidays have started.”
The education secretary added, “Considering the situation of coronavirus, the decision to open or close the educational institution will be announced later.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has announced a holiday till Eid for all government and private primary schools in the country.
It is learned that all types of educational institutions were declared closed from March 17 to prevent coronavirus. If the situation in Corona does not improve, the educational institutions will remain closed till next September, the Prime Minister herself said at a function.
