How Many Bangladeshi Got Opportunity To Perform Hajj This Year!Due to the epidemic coronavirus, many devout Muslims around the world have been deprived of the opportunity to perform the holy Hajj this year. However, only 10,000 people have been given the opportunity to perform Hajj in compliance with special health rules.
According to various sources, there are only 5 Bangladeshi’s among them. However, this information could not be confirmed by any official source.
Due to the ban on corona, no one from outside Saudi Arabia could participate in the Hajj this time. However, people from 160 countries living in Saudi Arabia have participated in this Hajj. Where in other years about 2.5 million people used to participate in Hajj, this year’s Hajj is being held with the participation of a total of 10,000 people.
The Hajj and Umrah authorities have ensured extensive security and medical services for Hajj pilgrims on Arafat Square this year due to the epidemic. Adequate measures have been taken to deal with the scorching heat on Arafat Square. Besides, volunteers and health workers have been kept ready.
Saudi Arabia’s National Disease Prevention and Control Authority has issued special hygiene rules for this year’s Hajj due to coronavirus.
According to the rules, Hajj pilgrims cannot kiss or touch the Kaaba and black stones. You have to use sterile packaged stones beforehand to throw stones at the devil. Hajj performers and those in charge of Hajj must wear a mask and put it in a specific place after use. Wherever the Hajj pilgrims gather, the distance between the two should be at least one and a half meters.
At least 18,490 workers have been recruited this year to serve the pilgrims. 28 new and fully equipped service centers have been set up at important places including the holy places of Hajj. At least 13,500 cleaners have been deployed in these places for 24-hour cleaning. 87,900 underground garbage containers have been set up in Mina.
Hajj participants have expressed satisfaction with the Saudi government’s strict hygiene and safety management.
