Journalist Golam Sarwar was rescue after three days

Three days after the disappearance, journalist Golam Sarwar was rescued by locals from Kumira in Sitakunda. He was rescued from the bank of the canal in the Barakumira cattle market area around 7.30 pm on Sunday (November 01).

According to the locals, during the rescue operation, Golam Sarwar kept saying, ‘I will not do any more news and groaning’.

The chairman informed the police about the matter. Later, Sarwar was taken away by the police around 8 pm.

Golam Sarwar’s is the Staff correspondent of Chittagong bureau of ‘Ajker Suryoday’ newspaper. He went missing after leaving his house in Battery Alley, Chittagong City around 9.30 am on Thursday. A general diary (GD) was filled at Kotwali police station in this incident. His home is in Chandnaish upazila. He is a member of Chattogram Journalists Union.

Sitakunda police inspector (investigation) Sumon Banik said the miscreants left Golam Sarwar in the Barakumira cattle market area. Upon receiving the news, the police went around 8 pm and rescued him.

However, it is not yet known who was involved in the incident.
