Omicron detected in India

This time the ‘Omicron’ variant of coronavirus has been identified in India. The Ministry of Health has said that two people have been found infected with Omicron in Karnataka.

A new type of coronavirus has been found in the bodies of two men returning to Africa. One of them is 6 years old and the other is 47 years old.

According to health ministry sources, those who came in contact with the two victims have already been identified. All of them have been kept in isolation.

Lav Agarwal, joint secretary at the country’s health ministry, told a news conference that the two men who came in contact were being identified and examined.

Agarwal said, “There is no need to panic about Omicron detection. But awareness is essential. Follow the rules of coronavirus and follow the appropriate rules, avoid gathering.”

Initially, it was thought that Omicron could be significantly more contagious than previous forms. However, no evidence was found that the type was more severe.
