‘Children need to be monitored incases of using technology’

Education as well as children’s use of technology should be monitored, said the Minister of Education Dipu Moni.

She made the remarks in response to a question from reporters after the swearing in of the newly elected chairman candidates in the UP elections at the Chandpur Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Wednesday.

The Minister said, “Any technology has its pros and cons. We must be technology-friendly and efficient, thinking of future generations. That is why we need to familiarize our children with technology from childhood. Otherwise, they will not be able to survive in the fourth revolution. We want the new generation to be successful partners in the Fourth Revolution.”

She added, “We have some plans to fill the gaps in the education of the students during the severe situation of corona period.”

Earlier, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sanjida Shahnaz administered the oath of office to the newly elected 9 UP chairmen.

Police Superintendent Milon Mahmud, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dawood Hossain Chowdhury, District Awami League President Alhaj Nasir Uddin Ahmed, General Secretary Abu Naeem Patwary Dulal, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Nazim Dewan and Chandpur Municipality Mayor Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel spoke were also present at that time.
