Famous lyricist Kabir Bakul, the son of Chandpur, has once again received the ‘National Film Award’.
He received the national award for the sixth time.
He had earlier won the National Film Award for Best Lyricist in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2018.
The prizes were distributed among the winners of ‘National Film Awards-2020’ at a glittering ceremony of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Wednesday.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was virtually joined as the chief guest from her official residence Ganobhaban.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud handed over the prizes to the winners.
Hasanul Haq Inu, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, addressed the function as a special guest under the chairmanship of the Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
Earlier, on February 15, 2022, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the names of 32 awardees in 27 categories of National Film.
