Not panicked by attack on house, anxios about country: Syeda Rizwana

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adv. to the Ministry of Environment said that an unpleasant situation is developing in some parts of the country due to the announcement of the verdict in the crime against humanity case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She said that the interim government has made preparations to deal with this situation.

On Monday morning, at an event in the capital’s Dhanmondi, she said, “I am not panicked by the attack on my house. Rather, we are anxious about the fact that various places are being set on fire and lives are being lost.” Regarding the current situation, she said that an attempt is being made to create an unstable environment in the country in connection with Sheikh Hasina’s verdict and the national elections.

Rizwana further said that the government has made preparations to deal with the unpleasant situation. Those who have tried will not be able to reach that stage. Earlier, on Sunday at around 9:15 pm, multiple cocktail explosions took place in front of Syeda Rizwana Hasan’s house on Central Road of New Market Police Station in the capital. However, no casualties were reported.

Newmarket Police Station Duty Officer Sub-Inspector Rajib confirmed the matter. According to local sources, two cocktail explosions were carried out in front of the house. However, those involved in the incident have not yet been identified.
