Today’s ‘Shab-e-Barat’ Is A Night Of Prayer

Today’s ‘Shab-e-Barat’ is a night of prayer. Today is the night of immense good fortune to seek forgiveness of our sins and forgiveness. The daylight will begin in the west as soon as the desired night, holy Shab-e-Barat. In Hadith Sharif it has been called Lilatun Nisfi Min Shaban or Mid Shaban Night.

It has been stated that at night, the light of Almighty is revealed in the sky near the earth. Then Allah Almighty says – Is there anyone to apologize to whom I will forgive? Is there a Rizik candidate to whom I will give Rizik? Is there anyone in danger, whom I will endanger? This call from Allah’s great court continues until dawn.

In fact, Lilatun Nisfi Min Shaban offers a rare opportunity to gain closeness and intimacy with Allah Subhanahu Tayala. Muslims spend the night indulging in worship of the Great Almighty. Significantly, the Muslim community of Nafal prayers and Qur’an recitation, Istagfar, Ibadat-Bandegi, Zikir-ezekar, Tasbih-Tahlil and Doa have special prayers in this blessed night.

Shab-e-Barat is called ‘Lilatul Barat’. Lilatul is an Arabic word and the word ‘Shab’ is Persian. Two words means night.

On the other hand, the word ‘barat’ means salvation, redemption or liberation. That night, the servants pray for forgiveness from the Almighty Allah. That is why this night is called ‘Lilatul Barat’ or Shab-e-Barat. Ramadan will come after the blessing of salvation. This is why it is called the Muazzin of Ramadan.

Ulama Mashaykh said that if you could spend the whole night worshiping and praying in the prayers of Esha and Fajr, that would be an accurate assessment of that night. On this night, after five days of pure repentance, regular prayers should be performed five times and adhere to Islamic law.

Meanwhile, President Advocate Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Jatiya Party-JP Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju MP urged everyone to engage in the work of building the country for the benefit of the holy Shab-e-Barat.

IFA suggests everybody to pray at home.
