The Prime Minister spoke to the representatives of Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Rangpur and Gaibandha in a video conference from her official residence Ganobhaban.

The Prime Minister also called upon the doctors, field administration, law enforcement and media personnel to keep themselves safe.

Sheikh Hasina said, The whole world is facing an invisible enemy. The country’s economy has come to a standstill due to coronavirus. This will have an impact in the future as well. Global organizations have called it an economic epidemic.

Referring to the failure of powerful nations to deal with corona, he said, ‘What a game of Allah Almighty! Wealth and weapons are of no use.’

Sheikh Hasina said, “I was moving forward with various steps to build the golden Bangladesh of the dream of the father of the nation.”

But suddenly a blow came. We have to take various steps to deal with this.

“We have to move forward to deal with this situation,” she added.

We have to ensure the safety of the people. We have taken various steps including general leave.

The video conference is being broadcast live on Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and several private TV channels and radio stations.
