Five more people died at Cumilla Covid-19 Hospital in 24 hours till Sunday morning. Of these, two died of corona positive. Covid’s symptoms include shortness of breath, fever and runny nose. The director of the hospital Mujibur Rahman confirmed the matter.
As many as 266 people have died in 52 days at Covid-19 Hospital in Cumilla, which is located on the campus of Comilla Medical College Hospital for the treatment of patients infected with coronavirus. On an average, more than five people died daily. The hospital was inaugurated on June 03. Since June 04, the hospital authorities have been releasing information about the death.
According to hospital sources, a 55-year-old woman from Cumilla’s Brahmanpara Upazila died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital at 7:25 am today due to shortness of breath, fever and cold. A 55-year-old man from Cumilla’s Burichang Upazila died at 4:55 am and a 62-year-old woman from Burichang Upazila died in the isolation ward of the hospital at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a 70-year-old man from Harang area of Chandina upazila of Cumilla and a 58-year-old man from Shahrashti upazila of Chandpur died in the corona ward of the hospital.
According to hospital sources, 111 patients are currently admitted in the hospital. Of these, 83 are men and 28 are women.
