Qatar mandatory use of ‘app’ to control corona.Qatar is turning to technology to help control the coronavirus epidemic. The government of the country has made the use of ‘app’ compulsory.
Coronavirus has killed 23 people in Qatar so far. However, the infection rate is higher.
The country has a population of about 28.8 million. Of these, more than 40,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus.
The new app that Qatar is using to control coronavirus is called Ehteraz.
It is seen by government officials as the latest addition to efforts to control the virus.
The Ehteraz app was launched late last week.
The app is installed on mobile devices when citizens and residents leave their homes.
This allows the government to identify whether the user was in contact with an infected person.
Failure to install the app can result in a maximum of 55,000 dolar or up to three years in prison.
However, users have expressed concern that privacy has been violated through the app.
