Four passengers of a CNG-powered autorickshaw were killed when a BRTC bus hit them in Cumilla’s Laksam Upazila. The incident took place at 7:30 am on Thursday, January 6 in the Kaliacho area of Cumilla-Noakhali road.
The deceased were identified as Bahar Mia, 48, son of Siddiqur Rahman of Parati village in Bholain union of Lalmai Upazila, wife Parul Begum, 38, mother-in-law Golap Nahar, 62, and daughter Jannat.
The matter has been confirmed by Laksam Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masud Ahmed. He said two people were killed at the scene. Later two more died while undergoing treatment at Cumilla Medical College Hospital.
