On occasion of Janmashtami Fakhrul Islam Alamgir wishes to all Hindus

On the occasion of Happy Janmashtami, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir extended his best wishes and congratulations to all Hindus.

He conveyed the greetings in a message signed by the party’s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed.

In the message, Fakhrul said, “On this auspicious day of Janmashtami, I extend my sincere greetings and congratulations to all Hindus.”

He said, Happy Janmashtami is the birthday of Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the Hindu community. Janmashtami is an important festival for Hindus. This festival is celebrated in many ways. Hindus believe that Lord Krishna came to earth to establish truth and beauty. He established justice and welfare in the society by defeating violence and dictatorship.

‘The essence of the religious festival of all religions is to extend the range of harmony, friendship and goodwill among the people. Advocates of different religions have advised people to follow the path of truth, justice and welfare. As a country of religious harmony, Bangladesh has traditionally believed in establishing friendly relations with people of all faiths. I wish everyone happiness, peace and well-being on this auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.’
