The number of cases of corona in Chandpur increased to 1993.Corona of 8 more people has been identified in Chandpur. Of these, 2 are from Chandpur Sadar and 6 are from Matlab North. With this, the number of victims of corona in the district increased to 1993 people. The death toll is 75. This information has been informed by the Civil Surgeon’s Office.
According to sources, a total of 36 reports came from MA Wadud RT-PCR Lab of Chandpur-based Bahasabi on Saturday (August 15). 8 of these reports are not positive. The remaining 28 reports are negative. On the same day, 20 people became tax-free and healthy. Among them 7 are from Chandpur Sadar, 9 from Faridganj, 2 from Matlab South and 2 from Hajiganj.
The district-wise statistics of 1993 cases of corona in Chandpur district are as follows: 791 in Chandpur Sadar, 229 in Faridganj, 212 in Matlab South, 199 in Shahrasti, 187 in Hajiganj, 167 in Matlab North, 129 in Haimchar and 79 Kachua.
The upazila-wise statistics of 75 deaths in the district are as follows: 21 in Chandpur Sadar, 17 in Hajiganj, 10 in Faridganj, 10 in Matlab North, 7 in Shahrasti, 6 in Kachua, 3 in Matlab South and 1 in Haimchar.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sakhawat Ullah further said that the total number of samples collected till Saturday is 7776. 7730 reports have been received. He added that 1,500 of the 1993 victims in the district have already recovered. 418 people are under treatment.
So far, 738 patients have been admitted in isolation. Of these, 708 have already received clearance. At present the number of patients in isolation is 30. Besides, the total number of people in the home quarantine in the district is 11,233. Of these, 9275 people got clearance. At present there are 1958 people in the home quarantine.
