Distribution of Tk. 207 crore for agricultural credit and poverty alleviation in Chandpur. State-owned banks in 8 upazila of Chandpur have disbursed Tk. 207 crore 42 lakh 92 thousand in agricultural loans and poverty alleviation till April-April 2020-21, according to a source in the district agricultural credit committee. Whose distribution rate is 71% of the allocation.
Of this, the distribution in state-owned banks was Tk 170 crore 57 lakh 30 thousand and the distribution in 24 private banks in the district was Tk 36 crore 85 lakh 62 thousand.
According to an April report of the banks, the allocation to those banks was Tk 303 crore 86 lakh in the fiscal year 2020-21.
According to the regional office of the concerned bank, Sonali Bank has disbursed Tk 8.39 crore through 20 branches of agriculture till April.
13 crore 90 lakh 15 thousand taka through 21 branches in Agrani Bank, 2 crore 32 lakh taka through 15 branches in Janata Bank, 13 crore 6 lakh taka through 28 branches in Krishi Bank in Bangladesh. BR DB 56 lakh.
Karmasangsthan Bank has 7 crore 88 lakh taka through 4 branches, Rupali Bank has 1 crore 26 lakh taka. 24 private banks have disbursed 36 crore 85 lakh 62 thousand taka.
On the other hand, the bank has collected Tk 175 crore 70 lakh from various customer rates including arrears till January of the year 2020-21.
A bank official of Agrani Bank said, “Agrani Bank is in constant touch with its customers to collect various categories of loans.” As the bank officials are collecting the loan, they are also giving the loan immediately.”
