Joe Biden signed 15 executive orders and two official documents on the first day after being sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. He signed the orders at the Oval Office on Wednesday,January 20, local time.
On the first day, Biden surpassed Donald Trump and Barack Obama in terms of signing the executive order. Trump signed six executive orders and Barack Obama signed nine executive orders in the two weeks since he was sworn in.
After taking the oath of office, Biden went to the Oval Office and signed one executive order after another, saying: ‘There is no time to waste. We have to work immediately.’
Biden has made it mandatory for central government offices to wear masks to prevent the spread of the corona epidemic. The newly-appointed US president called on everyone to wear masks to prevent infection.
