Situation For Closing Educational Institute Has Not Been Created Yet

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said, ‘The situation for closing the educational institute has not been created yet.’ Dr. Dipu Moni said that according to the opinion of the Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) at the national level about coronavirus, the situation has not been closed yet. Necessary action will be taken on the basis of expert opinion. However, the educational institutes are being made aware of this.

She said this while inaugurating the 158th Basic Training Course at the National Education Management Academy in the capital on Monday afternoon. The information was reported in a press release signed by Information and Public Relations Officer Mohammad Abul Khair of the Ministry of Education.

Deputy Chief Minister of Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury and Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department Mahbub Hossain were the special guests chaired by the Director General of National Education Management Academy Professor Ahmed Sajjad Rashid.

The minister said that a quality teacher is essential for achieving quality education. Teachers should be updated regularly. In the present world, everything is changing very fast. We are constantly getting acquainted with new things. So it is not the end of all honors, masters or PhD degrees. We need to be in life-long education.

Earlier, in response to a question from reporters after a ceremony in the capital, Deputy Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury and Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain said that the situation was not created like the closure of all educational institutions in the country. Any guidance from the Ministry of Health will be implemented.
