42 More People Died: 2,735 Newly Identified

In the last 24 hours, 42 more people have died of coronavirus infection in the country. 2,735 people have been newly identified. So far 930 people have died in Corona in the country. Total 68,504 people have been identified.

This information was given in the official bulletin of the coronavirus situation of the health department on Monday (June 08). Additional Director General of the Department of Health Nasima Sultana took part in the publication of the bulletin.

Dr. Nasima said 42 more people have died in the country in the last 24 hours due to corona infection.

They are 33 men and 9 women. Their range in age one in 11 to 20, three in 21 to 30, one in 31 to 40, seven in 41 to 50, 10 in 51 to 60, 12 in 61 to 60, and 61 to 60. Four in between 71 to 90 years and two in between 91 and 100 years. So far 930 people have died in Corona in the country.

It was informed that the 42 new victims were 25 from Dhaka division, eight from Chittagong division, one from Rajshahi division, two from Khulna division, two from Barisal division, one from Sylhet division, one from Rangpur division and two from Mymensingh division.

Besides, 657 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. So far 14 thousand and 560 people have recovered.

Dr. Nasima said 13,961 samples have been collected in the last 24 hours. 12 thousand and 944 including the previous sample have been tested. Of these, 2,735 have been identified as corona patients. So far, 68,504 corona patients have been identified in the country. So far, 410,931 samples have been tested.

In the context of isolation, it was informed that in the last 24 hours, 297 more people have been taken in new isolation. At the same time, 144 people got relief from isolation. So far 11,871 people have gone to isolation. So far 4,319 people have been exempted from isolation. At present there are seven thousand anf 552 people in isolation.

According to the bulletin, the total number of isolations in the country, including Dhaka, is 13,284. At present, the number of isolation beds in Dhaka metropolis is 7,250 and in different hospitals outside Dhaka city it stands at 6,034.

Information about quarantine is also given in the bulletin. It is said that in the last 24 hours, 2,228 people have come to the home and institutional quarantine. At the same time, one thousand and 852 people got exemption from quarantine. And so far a total of three lakh and three thousand 425 people have gone to quarantine. And so far two lakh and 47 thousand 353 people have got exemption from quarantine. After the exemption, there are currently 56,072 people in the home and institutional quarantine.

There are 629 institutions ready for institutional quarantine at district and upazila level across the country. According to the bulletin, 31 thousand and 991 people can be served immediately through this.

According to the bulletin, in the last 24 hours, the health window of the health department and the hotline of IEDCR have received one lakh and 71 thousand 17 calls. Health advice has been given to everyone in these calls. So far, one crore 12 lakh and eight thousand 117 people have been given health advice on the hotline.

In the last 24 hours, the number of newly trained doctors has increased to five more. With this, the total number of trained doctors now stands at 16,291. In addition, at present 4,217 doctors are going to the hotline as volunteers to provide health advice, according to the bulletin.

It was informed at the beginning of the bulletin that a special 10-member Chinese delegation arrived at the invitation of the Bangladesh government on Monday (June 08) morning. The team will stay in the country for 14 days and visit various military-civilian Covid-19 hospitals, quarantine centers and laboratories in the country. There, the team members will exchange experiences and opinions with all concerned including management. In addition, they will be connected with hospitals and local administrations across the country through online.
