Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours from 9am.
A Met office bulletin issued in the morning said: “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions.”
The bulletin also forecast moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country, it added.
The country’s highest temperature on Thursday was 36.5C in Khulna, while Friday’s minimum temperature was 19.8C at Nikli in Dhaka division.
