Fined for not following lockdown in Faridganj

Fined for not following lockdown in Faridganj. In Faridganj, on the 4th day of the lockdown, a mobile court imposed a fine for not using mask and for keeping shop open.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Sharmin Akhter and Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahid Hossain conducted the mobile court on Saturday, April 17 for not wearing masks and keeping the shops open in Gazipur Bazar and Purba Chandra Bazar of the upazila.

A fine of Tk. 6,500 was levied in three cases under Section 269 of the Penal Code for not using mask and keeping the shop open.

In this regard, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sharmin Akhter and Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahid Hossain said, “We have carried out this operation in Gazipur Bazar and East Chandra Bazar of the upazila for not using masks and keeping the shops open as per the instructions of the government.”

Traders have kept almost all the shops open in Faridganj Sadar Bazar.
