In Chandpur, 24 people identified as infected, 1 more died of Coronavirus. 24 out of 231 samples was identified. Infection rate in the sample ratio is 10.38%. One person from Faridganj died due to corona.
According to the Civil Surgeon’s Office, the new victims include 10 from Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 3 from Hajiganj, 4 from Matlab North, 3 from Shahrasti, 1 from Matlab South, 1 from Kachua and 2 from Faridganj.
On the same day, 38 people were declared corona-free. Among them 17 are from Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 3 from Faridganj, 3 from Kachua, 5 from Hajiganj, 7 from Shahrasti and 3 from Matlab South.
The number of newly infected people in the district has increased to 14,643. The death toll was 234. So far 14,151 people have been declared healthy. At present the number of patients undergoing treatment is 258. Of these, 24 are hospitalized. The rest are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, a 60-year-old woman named Nurunnahar died at the Corona Isolation Ward of Chandpur Sadar Hospital around 8.40 am on Wednesday. Her home is in Deichar village of Chandrabazar area of Faridganj. She was suffering from corona symptoms.
