Last tribute to CR Dutta.Major General (Retd.) CR Dutta (Chitta Ranjan Dutta) Bir-Uttam, one of the Sector Commanders of the Liberation War, has been paid last respects.

The body of CR Dutta was taken to the Dhakeshwari temple in the capital on Tuesday (September 01) morning for public homage. Bir Uttam CR Dutta’s three daughters, son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren were present there. At this time, people of different classes and professions paid their last respects and love to his body with flowers. A group of soldiers saluted with military salute. He was paid honor by the state.

Later, ‘Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja’ Committee, Bangladesh ‘Puja Udjapan Parishad’, Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity organization, Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance, Bangladesh ‘Mahila Oikya Parishad’, ‘Dhakeswari Jatiya Mandir’, Bangladesh Hindu Parishad Dhaka Metropolitan South Branch , CR Dutta Adibashi Forum, Bangladesh Hindu Mahajot, Lalbagh Puja Thana Committee paid homage to the body of CR Dutta.

The body will be taken from Dhakeswari temple to Rajarbagh Bardeswari crematorium at 12 noon. Before the funeral, a military salute will be given to CR Dutta.

His body arrived in the country on an Emirates Airlines flight on Monday morning. The coffin of the heroic fighter was covered with the national flag after the body arrived at the airport. The body was then taken from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and kept in the cold storage of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

According to the pre-announcement, the body of CR Dutta was taken from CMH cold storage to his residence No. 49, Road No. 2, Banani DOHS at 7:30 am on Tuesday. Later, the body was taken to the Dhakeswari temple premises for public homage.
