Cumilla University awaits for the President.Finally, Comilla University authorities are going to end the long wait for students. The first convocation is being held on January 27. In an interview to the Chandpur Times, COU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury.
The Vice-Chancellor said that the students of Comilla University will get their first convocation on Sunday, January 27, after 14 years of establishment in the country. The university is enjoying a great deal of celebration. Along with the graduates surrounding the first convocation, the eminent current students.
Upalach said that Comilla University (COU) has made extensive preparations for the commemoration and anniversary of the President. He said that the president and the great president of the university will preside over the convention. On that day, he will hand over the chancellor’s gold medal to 14 students.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will be present at the convention as a speaker and more will be present as the guest. Kazi Shahidullah, deputy minister of education ministry Mahibul Hasan Cheidhuri along with MPs.
The Vice-Chancellor said that the family members, including the university administration, are not lacking in anything to make the convention a success. Where 2,887 graduates are taking part in this function. Of them, there are 1,222 graduates with a bachelor’s degree, and 1,665 with postgraduate degrees. To make it more beautiful, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury called for the co-operation of the graduates at the convention.
As a vice-chancellor, when asked about the first convocation at this university, Professor Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury said, ‘In organizing the convention, every work is proceeding at a certain point in time. It is our mission to accomplish the task in a beautiful and successful way.First of all, His Excellency the President is coming to this campus for the first time. Our anticipation will be extremely gratifying and glorious’.

In response to a question, the Vice-Chancellor of Comilla University said, “I think gathering is a difficult task. Therefore, if it is not ready long ago, it is not possible to do well. The Vice Chancellor asked the question as to what is your suggestion for the organizers of the new university convention the next day.
