The Department of Health regularly conducts online briefings on the coronavirus situation in the country.
Professor at the briefing. Nasima Sultana said samples from 15,157 people were tested in the last 24 hours. The highest test in one day has been done today. Samples were tested in 58 labs. So far 7 lakh and 12 thousand 798 samples have been tested.
She said another 1,185 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 54 thousand and 318 people have recovered.
The first case of coronavirus infection (Covid-19) in the country was identified on March 08. Ten days later, on March 18, the first person died of coronavirus infection.
