Eviction campaign of Chandpur municipality for widening the road.Under the direction of Chandpur Municipality Mayor Zillur Rahman Jewel, eviction drive has been carried out to widen the road from the city bus stand to Chitralekha junction and construct drains and footpaths.
On Thursday, February 18, a raid was carried out in the Taltola area and behind the Sheikh Hasina dormitory to protect the municipal land in Chandupur from illegal occupants.
Chandpur Municipality Councilor Habibur Rahman Darji, Chan Mia Majhi, Market Inspector Zaidur Rahman Zahir, Surveyor Moniruzjan and others were present.
Chandpur Municipality Market Inspector Zaidur Rahman Zahir said the 6-foot road in Chandpur Municipality was closed in the name of building a construction behind the Sheikh Hasina dormitory in Ward 9. Chandpur municipality evicted the place where the road was closed.
Besides, the Nova Palace building with LGD in Taltola area illegally occupied a few feet of land in Chandpur municipality. Chandpur Municipality conducted eviction campaign to protect its place.
