Expatriate Friend Call Center Launched For Bangladeshi In Saudi Arabia

Expatriate friend call center has been launched for Bangladeshi in Saudi Arabia.The Prabas Bandhu Call Center has been set up to provide emergency health counseling to 2.2 million expatriate Bangladeshis living in Saudi Arabia. The Expatriate Friend Call Center was jointly inaugurated by the Wage Honors Welfare Board of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment and A2I of the Department of Information and Communication Technology in collaboration with the Embassy of Bangladesh in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Expatriate Bangladeshi doctors will provide emergency health advice to expatriate Bangladeshis living in Saudi Arabia through this call center in case of emergency coronavirus infection. Any expatriate residing in Saudi Arabia can be reached through a hunting number +88 09611 999 111 or emo numbers (free) 01400611995, 01400611996, 01400611997, 01400611998,01958105020 call them if they have a call from Bangladesh. .

 The concerned doctors will provide medical services and advice to the interested candidates through this from 9 am to 9 pm Saudi time. So far, 67 Saudi expatriate Bangladeshi doctors have registered with corona.gov.bd with a commitment to provide medical advice through this call center and about 250 more doctors have expressed interest in providing this service. Expatriates will also get detailed information and services from the website corona.gov.bd .

The Expatriate Friend Call Center of the Wage Earners Board has been re-activated to provide medical services and counseling with the technical coordination and collaboration of A2I (operated with the assistance of the Cabinet Division and UNDP) under the Department of Information and Communication Technology.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP was present at the inaugural function held on the online platform. Hon’ble Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Mr. Imran Ahmed, MP and Hon’ble Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia Mr. Golam Moshi. Mr. Farhad Zahid Sheikh, Chief e-Governance Strategist of A2I and Lead Focal of Digital Services Accelerator, presented the background, methodology and future activities of Expatriate Friend Call Center at the online opening ceremony.
