Four businesses burnt to ashes in Faridganj fire

The dreams of four traders in Faridganj of Chandpur have been burnt to ashes. The fire broke out at Kalirbazar in Faridganj South Union on Thursday night. According to the affected traders and locals, the shop owners including the traders have lost about 40 lakh taka.

In addition to Kamal Mia’s oil and cigarette shop (TK. 20 lakhs), Khokon Gazi’s confectionery shop (about TK. 10 lakhs), Monir Mizir’s hotel about TK. 2 lakh.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Zahidul Islam Roman, Vice Chairman GS Taslim, Faridganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahid Hossain, OC (Investigation) Bahar Mia, Faridganj Press Club President Kamruzzaman, Union A’League General Secretary visited the spot.

In this regard, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Azizunnahar said, “I have heard about the incident of fire. However, I did not go to the spot. UNO Sir is in training, he will actually decide on that.”
