Police have arrested three youths on charges of gang-raping a seventh-grade schoolgirl in Haimchar, Chandpur.
They were arrested from Bogula in Dakshin Para of Haimchar upazila last night. They were sent to jail this afternoon.
Police said the victim was going to her sister’s house in Dakshin Parabgula in an autorickshaw from Jhaudugi area of Nizbari Raipur upazila on Thursday evening.
When she reached near the house, the accused took her to a betel garden on the side of the road and raped her overnight. The victim’s mother filed a rape case on Friday, May 21.
