Government Has So Far Provided Relief To 40 Million People

The government has so far provided relief to 40 million people.The government has continued its relief efforts to alleviate the suffering of ordinary people across the country in disasters like the corona virus. So far, the government has provided relief to 4 crore people across the country as humanitarian assistance.

According to the information received from the 64 district administrations of the country, 1 lakh and 24 thousand MT of rice have been allocated as relief and distributed 92 thousand annd 341 MT till Friday 01 May. The number of beneficiary families in the distributed rice is 93 lakh annd 38 thousand and the beneficiary population is 3 crore and 95 lakh people.

About Tk. 64 crore in cash has been allocated so far in 64 districts across the country. Of this, Tk. 52.17 crore has been allocated as cash assistance and Tk. 41.69 crore has been distributed.

The number of beneficiary families is 51 lakh and 77 thousand and the number of beneficiary people is about 2 crore and 42 lakh people.

11 crore and 95 lakh has been allocated as baby food aid and so far 8 crore and 42 lakh has been distributed. The number of beneficiary families is 2 lakh and 63 thousand and the number of people is about 5 lakh and 26 thousand.
