Heavy rainfall may occur in the coastal districts.The depressions in the West, Central and East-Central Bay of Bengal turned into a deep depressions in the West-Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas on Monday.
The depressions is likely to move further north-west and cross the Orissa coast of India on Tuesday October 13, causing heavy rainfall in Orissa and adjoining areas.
Rainfall will be higher especially in the coastal districts of Bangladesh.Four seaports in the country have been asked to display remote warning signal number 1 and river ports have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, several districts of the country, including Dhaka, fallen rain yesterday due to depressions. 57 mm of rain fall yesterday in Dhaka.
The highest 68 mm rainfall was recorded in Rangamati.
According to a special notification issued by the Meteorological Office, the deep depressions was located at 1,055 km southwest of Chattogram seaport, 1015 km southwest of Cox’s Bazar seaport 910 km southwest of Mongla seaport and 920 km south of Payra seaport till last evening.
Within 48 kilometers of the center of the deep depressions, the maximum sustained wind speed is 50 kilometers per hour, increasing to 60 kilometers in the form of gusts or gusts of wind. The sea is rough near the center of the depressions. As a result, it will rain intermittently for two more days, the meteorological office added.
