Holidays of educational institutions are increasing again.In the case of coronavirus, the leave of the educational institution is increasing again.
However, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will decide at a meeting on how long the leave will be extended. The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 29.
After the meeting, the Education Minister Dipu Moni will make the announcement at a press conference.
Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer of the education ministry, confirmed the information on Wednesday.
Akram-al-Hossain, senior secretary at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, said, “Considering the current situation, it will not be possible to open schools and colleges now.So the ongoing holiday will be further increased.”
He said, “We have a holiday till October 31. The increase in leave will be informed before this. Since 30 and 31 October are public holidays. So the announcement will be made on Thursday.
However, he said the education minister and the state minister for primary and mass education would decide how long the leave would be extended.
Syed Golam Farooq, director general of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, said the leave for educational institutions could be extended.
However, it has not been decided yet how long the holiday will last.
