Mohammad Abul Khair, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education on Sunday, March 22 confirmed this fact. The HSC and equivalent examinations were scheduled to start from April 1.
The Inter-District Education Board and Dhaka Education Board sources said on Saturday (March 21) that a policy decision was taken to suspend the HSC and equivalent examination. The chairman of all education boards of the country made the decision.
On the day, a press release signed by Dhaka Education Board Exam Regulatory Professor SM Amirul Islam said that all the education boards in the country had suspended the distribution of HSC examination certificates due to coronavirus.
The coronavirus, which was first detected in China in late December, is now a global epidemic. So far more than three million people have been infected worldwide. More than 13,000 people died. Besides, about 96,000 people have returned home after treatment.
The virus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8. Thereafter, the number of infections in the virus increased. So far, 24 people have been attacked in the country so far, two have died.
Meanwhile, the government has announced that all educational institutions in the country will be shut down till March 31 to prevent the spread of corona. Crowds have been imposed on meetings and rallies. Except for all four countries and regions, all passengers have been stopped. The lower court’s judicial function, without bail and important matters, has been postponed. Shivchar upazila of Madaripur has been declared a lockdown.
