In Chandpur, 143 people fined for not wearing masks

The district administration has set up a mobile court in passenger vehicles to ensure the use of masks to prevent the second wave of corona infection in Chandpur.

The operation was conducted on Tuesday (November 10) from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Executive Magistrate Azizun Nahar, Mehedi Hasan Manik, Md. Oliuzzaman and Emran Mahmud Dalim conduct four separate mobile courts led by Chandpur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman.

At that time, 143 people were fined Tk. 16,200 in 131 cases for not using masks. Police, Ansar and volunteers cooperated in the operation.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Abdullah Al Mahmoud Zaman said the government has made the use of masks mandatory. The operation was carried out to prevent the second wave of corona. We will continue this campaign to force the public to use masks. He also said that the district administration is in a strict position to ensure the use of masks.
