In Chandpur bank loan disbursed Tk. 181 crore of agricultural & poverty alleviation sector.In the fiscal year 2019-2020, till June, public and private banks in Chandpur have disbursed Tk. 181.75 crore in the field of agricultural credit and poverty alleviation. The allocation of Bangladesh Bank in this sector was 216 crore and 16 lakh taka.
This information has been given by the regional offices of various banks in Chandpur on Monday, August 03.
In Chandpur, state-owned banks in 8 upazilas have disbursed Tk. 150.72 crore till June 2019-20 and 24 private banks have disbursed Tk. 31.11 crore in agricultural loans and poverty alleviation, according to a source in the district agricultural credit committee.
The government distribution rate is 61% of the allocation and the private sector is 45%. In those banks, the allocation for the fiscal year 2019-20 is around Tk. 248.72 crore, while in government banks and private banks it is Tk. 67.44 crore.
Meanwhile, the banks have recovered classified loans of Tk. 147.40 crore in this financial year.
A bank official of Agrani Bank said, “Agrani Bank is in constant touch with its customers to collect various categories of loans. As the bank officials are collecting the loan, they are also giving the loan immediately.’
