5 lakh infected in Mexico, curfew returned to Peru.Outbreaks of coronavirus have not yet been reported in Latin American countries. About 6,000 new patients have been identified in Mexico in the last one day. Curfews have also been re-imposed in Peru to stem the tide of infection.
According to the Mexican Ministry of Health, 5,858 new corona positive cases have been detected in the country in a single day. With this, the total number of victims is 4 lakh and 98 thousand 380 people. However, experts claim that the number of actual cases of corona in the country is much higher.
At least 54,666 people have died of coronavirus in Mexico so far.
Meanwhile, Peru, another Latin American country, announced a full curfew on Sunday as corona infections continued to rise.
“We think it’s better to take a step back, so that everyone is responsible for what they want to see happen,” said President Martin Vizcara.
On curfew days, it will be forbidden to hold public gatherings or hang out with many people.
More than 4 lakh and 89 thousand corona patients have been identified in Peru so far. On an average, more than 7,000 new patients are being found in the country daily. So far, at least 21,713 people have died of corona. Peru tops the list of American countries with a death rate per million.
