Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsin Fakhrizadeh killed in a terrorist attack

Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsin Fakhrizadeh has been killed in a terrorist attack.

He was killed in a terrorist attack near the capital, Tehran. Iranian Defense Ministry sources confirmed the news. Iran’s foreign minister has called the incident a “terrorist act.”

Iran’s news agencies say the terrorists first bombed his car and then shot him.

The Iranian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a car carrying Mohsin Fakhirazade, head of the ministry’s research and innovation agency. Clashes ensued between his bodyguards and the terrorists. Fakhirajade was seriously injured and was rushed to hospital. The doctors tried their best to save him but could not.

Western intelligence agencies considered him to be the mastermind behind Iran’s secret nuclear program. Diplomats called him the “father of bombs in Iran.”

Concerns have been raised that Iran has increased its production of enriched uranium. In the meantime, the murder took place.
