Three students were killed in bus-autorickshaw crash in Kachua.
It is learned that two persons including the autorickshaw driver were injured at that time.
The accident took place at around 7:30 am on the Kachua-Hajiganj road.
The deceased were identified as Urmi Majumder Uma, 24, daughter of late Rajkumar of Doati area of the upazila, Mahabub Alam, 22, son of Rafiqul Islam of Koya village and Saddam Hussain, son of Monat Miah of Nishchintpur. They were candidates for the Masters of Government Victoria College, Cumilla.
Kachua police OC Mohiuddin said the CNG-powered autorickshaw was going to Hajiganj from Kachua in the morning.
The autorickshaw was crushed by a Dhaka-bound bus from Laxmipur in the Koriya Bishoroad area of Kachua-Hajiganj road.
The autorickshaw overturned, killing three students on the spot. Two people including the autorickshaw driver were injured.
The injured have been admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
The bodies of the deceased were recovered and taken to the police station.
