New Director General of DGFI is Major General Saiful Alam.Major General Mohammad Saiful Alam has been appointed as the new Director General of the Directorate General of Defense Intelligence (DGFI) in exchange for high level changes in the Bangladesh Army. He was leading the 11th Infantry Division in the last Bogra.
A source in the Defense Ministry confirmed that a notification was issued on Monday.
According to Defense Ministry sources, Major General Md.Saiful Abedin Who has served as DGFI Director General for the last three years. Saiful Abedin has been appointed as the GOC of the Ninth Infantry Division at Savar.
Meanwhile, Major General Akbar, who served as the GOC of Savar, received the responsibility of the Commandant of the Defense Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur. There he is replaced by Major General Enayet Ullah.
Major General Enayet Ullah has been sent to the army headquarters with the responsibility of Adjutant General. Humayun Kabir, who has served in that position for so long, has taken over as the GOC of the 55th Infantry Division of the army in Jessore.
