The Meteorological Department has forecast storms in 19 parts of the country. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
This information has been given in the forecast of the inland river port of the country from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday (September 01).
South or south-eastern direction over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattagram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions. Temperate gusts or gusts of wind with rain or thunderstorms at speeds of up to 45 to 60 kmph can occur. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm today said that the sky may be partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. There may be light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. The wind can blow from the south or south-east at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. Daytime temperatures can drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
