Mushfiqur Supports 50 Wheelchair Cricketers Financially

Mushfiqur financially supports 50 wheelchair cricketers.Former Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim has given financial assistance to 50 wheelchair cricketers of the country in this difficult time of coronavirus.

National wheelchair cricket team captain Mohammad Mohsin confirmed the news.

“Mushfiqur Bhai has provided financial support to 50 of us who have played international matches and are with the national team,” he said.

Mohsin is happy with Mushfiqur’s help. “It’s good news for us, players like Mushfiqur have come forward to help us,” he added. Wheelchair cricketers from different parts of the country are getting this financial support. We will make arrangements to send money to the players through mobile banking.

Mushfiqur has been helping the needy since the onset of coronavirus infection in the country. Together with the other players paid half of a month’s salary. He has sent 200 PPEs and hand sanitizers for the health workers of his district Bogra Medical College. He also provided financial assistance to the needy in collaboration with the local councilor.

Besides, Mushfiqur has also assisted 30 net bowlers of the cricket board. He then auctioned the first double-century bat for Bangladesh in Tests. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi bought the bat for Tk. 17 lakh. Mushfiqur said the entire proceeds from the sale of the bat would be used to help coronavirus victims.
