No procession during this year’s Durga Puja: Ministry of Home Affairs.Ministry of Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan has said that due to Corona, the procession cannot be held during the Durga Puja this time.At the same time, all the hygienic rules of coronavirus should be ensured & physical distance while entering the Mandapa.
The decision was taken at a virtual meeting held on the occasion of Durga Puja at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat on Sunday.
In the context of the Corona epidemic, the Ministry of Home Affairs has requested to keep the number of mandapa as limited as possible during the upcoming Durga Puja. The meeting also decided to be aware of the second wave of corona. The puja celebration committee will coordinate with the local administration and law enforcement agencies in the management of the puja mandapa. In case of emergency, the puja celebration committee will be able to take 999 services.
