Chandpur Model Police have recovered the body of youth from the canal of Chandpur city.
On Sunday morning, November 08, the locals found the body and informed the police. Police recovered the body of the youth from the spot and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.
Locals found the body of wearing black pants and a red t-shirt under a bridge over the SB canal adjacent to the former Shapla Studio on Shaheed Muktijuddha Road in the city. At first the body was found unidentified and later his identity was found.
Md. Yusuf Barpari (23) of Enayetpur Dupolla village of Shahrashti upazila. He got married to Shahinur Akhter of the same upazila 3 months ago.He lived in a rented house in 5 no. Ghat area of Chandpur city and used to sell bhangari.
Sub-inspector Palash Barua recovered Yusuf’s body from the spot and sent it to the morgue for autopsy. Locals believe he died under the bridge on the night of the incident after falling into the canal water and mud while intoxicated.
Shahinur Akhter, wife of the deceased, has filed an unnatural death case at Chandpur Model Police Station.
