Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today inaugurated five power plants capable of generating a total of 779MW of electricity. The Prime Minister inaugurated the power plants through a video conference from Ganabhaban on Sunday, September 12.
There are five power plants, Bibiyana-3 400MW combined cycle power plant in Habiganj, Chattogram 100 MW power plant unit-2, Meghnaghat 104MW power plant in Narayanganj, Madhumati 100MW power plant in Bagerhat, and 100MW power plant,up-gradation of 150MW Power Plant to 225MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Sylhet.
