11 operation conducted to prevent Jatka in Chandpur.Chandpur District Administration, Fisheries Department, Naval Police, Coast Guard, Chandpur Sadar Fisheries Department, Haimchar Fisheries Department, Matlab North and South Fisheries Departments have conducted 11 operations and 2 mobile courts in the last 24 hours.

Information has been given from the monitoring cell of Chandpur District Fisheries Department till 12 noon on March 03.

113 kg of jatka, 1 lakh 37 thousand meters of current net has been seized. Its current value is 27 lakh 40 thousand taka. These jatka have been distributed to local orphanages.

Chandpur District Fisheries Officer Md. Asadul Bari said, ‘To increase the production of hilsa in the country and to implement the government’s Jatka eradication prevention program 2021, the operation will continue till April 30 as per the instructions of the district administration with the overall cooperation of naval police, task force and upazila administration.’
