Rohingyas on purpose of Bhasan Char through five ships

Second group of Rohingyas has left Chattogram for Bhasanchar in Noakhali. The Rohingya group left for Bhasanchar in five navy ships on Tuesday, December 29, at around 9.15 am.

There are 1,072 women, men and children from 427 families in this group.

On Monday, December 28, the Rohingyas left for Chattogram from different camps in Cox’s Bazar to go to Bhasanchar. With them, 37 buses left Ukhia Degree College grounds for Chattogram from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm.

An official from the Office of the Commissioner for Refugees and Repatriation said Rohingyas willing to go to Bhasanchar voluntarily have been including their names in the offices of their respective camp officials since last Sunday. Now they are going to Bhasanchar.

Earlier, on December 4, in the first phase, 37 buses carrying Rohingyas went to Chattogram from Ukhia College ground in Cox’s Bazar. From there, 1,642 Rohingyas were taken to Bhasanchar by naval ship.
