A schoolgirl named Roksana Akhter (1) has been rescued from child marriage with the intervention of the Upazila administration in Kachua.
The girl’s family organized a child marriage on Thursday (Sep 26) in Singadda village.
Upon receiving the news, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ek Mitra Chakma ordered Kachua Northern Union Assistant (Land) Officer Shankar Chandra to stop the marriage.

He arranged a marriage with a young man in the Baruchur area of the neighboring Chandina.
